Central IL Photographers Meeting

I am lucky enough to be part of an amazing group with my fellow Central IL Professional Photographers, we have made the choice to better the photography community as a whole, rather than view each other as competition and enemies (who wants that!?!) We all have our own style, so it works well. We are able to refer clients if dates are unavailable or if we don’t specialize in the particular type of session the client is asking for.

We meet up once a month and cover different topics each month, anything from pricing, to print competition.  This month, we held our meeting in Champaign/Urbana at the CU Studio Share.  This is a wonderful space that is available to local photographers for a monthly or daily rate, and the space is beautiful!! We had a wonderful model come, and we played around showcasing our own style and posing techniques.   So, thank you Kate for modeling, and thank you to the CU Studio share for allowing us to come check out our space, and to Holly of Holly Birch Photography  for giving us a tour of the space, and talking to us a bit about posing etc!! Such a fun day!!

Baby Jake | Decatur IL Newborn Photographer

I was so excited when Jakes mommy, Brittany called me early in her pregnancy to book their newborn session.  The fact that she was so excited made me equally excited.  I was able to make a fun trip out of it, since the family lives in Tennessee, we met in Carbondale, where I was able to do baby Jake’s cousin’s pictures as well.
This sweet boy was a dream, all 10 lbs of him! I was also able to get a few of Jake and his very proud big sisters, who as you can tell are too stinking cute! Congratulations to the Cooks, you have a beautiful family!

Harper | Decatur IL newborn photographer

Rompers from Hugga Baby Bands, headband from Oh Love Props

No better combination than sweet new babies and adorable props. A great new vendor, Hugga Baby Bands and More in Litchfield sent me a few things to photograph for her new shop. So I had a few people offer up their brand new babies, and miss Harper was chosen. She was a dream and her hair….her HAIR…..her hair was to die for. So, enjoy sweet baby harper and some adorable newborn props!
