If there is one thing I am passionate about, it’s animals; specifically dogs. I love all things dog, I can honestly say nothing in the world makes me happier than a happy dog. One of my second favorite things? Newborn photography. So when I first found out about Bruiser, I knew I had to combine my two favorite things, a perfect fusion of Newborn Photography, puppy addition.
Baby Bruiser was just 4 weeks old at his session. He has a special story, and I am happy to share it! This sweet boy lost his momma hours after birth, he is a purebred American Pit Terrier, or Pit Bull for those of you playing at home. 🙂 Bruiser was rescued at 3 days and brought to Illinois (from Indiana) to live with his new momma Andrea, who just happens to be a veterinary technician. Bruisers 12 other siblings were all placed in foster care by Indiana’s Pit Bull Rescue.
I not only wanted to capture this time in Bruisers life, but also to shed light on the Pit Bull breed as a whole. These sweet dogs are really just that, sweet, and loving, and huge coddlers. A proper socialized Pit Terrier, in addition to males being neutered can be amazing pets!
That being said, I introduce you to Bruiser, and wish him the best of luck as he grows up!
Newborn Pet portraiture will now be a normal part of our specialization at AB Photography, so if you or someone you know will be bringing home a a new pet and would like to schedule a session, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
